A very famous folk tale from North to South in Vietnam. Many character lines, as well as the details in this fairy tale, under many different variations, have become classics and theatrical legends later. The Ốc thief asked the fortune teller, Ngao, to cast a hexagram pointing to stealing the house of Trùm Sò. The stolen ốc are sold to Thị Hến, a beautiful young widow. Chief Lý and Trùm Sò came to search and catch the evidence, immediately brought Thị Hến to the district official. When she got to the public road, Thị Hến made the district officials and teachers fall in love with her beauty. As a result, Trùm Sò lost money, Chief Lý was beaten, and Thị Hến was acquitted. The end of the play is the scene where the whole district, the teacher, and the Chief Lý because they are infatuated with Thị Hốn meet each other and get jealous by the wives at Thị Hến's house.
