Isabel Mota, born in 1954 in Viseu, Portugal, is a distinguished actress and writer. She began her acting career in 1973 after studying at the Conservatório Nacional de Lisboa. Mota gained prominence in Portuguese theater, notably with the Teatro de Campolide under Joaquim Benite, and became a familiar face on television during the 1980s and 1990s. Her notable works include roles in the film "O Lugar do Morto" (1984) and the television series "Verão Quente" (1993). In the late 1980s, Mota relocated to Paris, where she shifted her focus to writing. Under the pseudonyms Isabel-Victoria da Mota and Jean Miller, she has published over 24 books, encompassing poetry and prose. Mota divides her time between Montmartre and Lisbon, occasionally engaging with readers at local bookstores.
