Biography
AVN Hall of Fame inductee Clive McLean's career began as a band manager for Cat Stevens, but he was also a professional photographer in the fashion industry when his friend James Baes, head photographer of Germany's STERN magazine, recommended him to Hustler's Larry Flynt in 1975. McLean quickly became Hustler's lead photographer, and in 1999 began to direct videos for the fledgling Hustler Video line. His first video line was based on his successful magazine line called Barely Legal, focused on new young adult models, and both the magazine and video versions became the best-selling line in porn. McLean was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and given 2 months to live, but he hung on for 7, passing on March 29, 2005 after nearly 30 years at Hustler.
