Biography

Elli Maclure began her professional acting career in 1969 starring in a US television pilot for Screen Gems, acted lead and supporting roles in feature films, television and theater; starring in series, numerous guest appearances and pilots in her native Australia, Europe, USA. Worked with directors - John Cassavetes, Peter Bogdanovich, Francis Ford Coppola, Mike Robe, Peter Weir, Simon Wincer, George Miller, Tim Burstall, and with actors Gena Rowlands, Jon Voight, and in an Italian feature with Alberto Sordi and Claudia Cardinale, and a Spanish feature with Antonio Ferrandis. In 1990 her acting extended into coaching young professional actors in Los Angeles (under her birth name, Christine McClure), where her students have been nominated for an Oscar, Daytime Emmy, and multiple won Young Artists Awards, and booked lead and supporting roles in feature films, television, soaps and theater.
