Biography

Born on December 4, 1997, Thisura is the only child of Nimali Herath, a Samurdhi Bank manager, and the late Chandrananda Jayathilaka, a lieutenant colonel in the Sri Lankan Army. He began his career in 2018, taking on the main role in a short film directed by a friend, and the following year, he enrolled in Colombo Film School (formerly Sri Lanka Film School) to deepen his knowledge of filmmaking. He is one of the founding members of WUF (Weekend Underground Filmmakers), a production team based in Sri Lanka, founded in 2024.
