Pedro Novaes is a Brazilian director, screenwriter and a partner at Sertão Films. He directed the feature films Letters from Kuluene (2011), Alaska (2019) and The Knowledge of the Old Ones (2021). He was the director of the doc series A Country Made on Sugar (2019) and is also one of the screenwriters and producers of the feature film Hotel Mundial (2018). Pedro is the author of the book "8 Stories of Love - Reflections on Dramaturgical Writing" and also the artistic director of FICA, the International Environmental Film and Video Festival, in Brazil.
