Biography

Parris Patton graduated from the University of Bridgeport's film program in 1988. His thesis films "Dancer" won several honors including the Chicago International Film Festival's Gold Plaque. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, Parris met the artist then known as Prince. He was hired as Head of Film Production at Paisley Park Studios and moved to Minnesota. During the next three years Parris produced, directed and edited three concert films, several music videos and a number of eclectic short films. Upon returning to Hollywood, Parris immediately began filming Creature. Concurrent with the making of Creature Parris directed and edited The Cheshire Cat, a 35mm feature film noir which played at the Brussels Film Festival. He has also had several successful art shows showcasing his unique photo-emulsion on canvas artwork.
