John Adams starts his job search, George Washington attempts to contact residents at his former estate and Alexander Hamilton has his heart crushed by his true love Mindi. Will the men maintain their confidence and strength during this adjustment period or will they be left in the dark?

With the last of their per diem used for consumption of liquor, the men scramble to refine their resumes and search for the perfect job where they can showcase their talents. Washington has his first interview at a law firm, Adams' future starts to scream barista, Jefferson defends his decision to pursue a career in music, Madison, well, is Madison, Hamilton struggles to highlight his list of accomplishments and Benjamin Franklin may have found his first friend in the modern age.

As George Washington gets acclimated to his new job, Franklin and Hamilton are at home dealing with Madison as his mind gets increasingly worse. Jefferson heads off to his first open-mic performance while John Adams heads off to his first day of work. Franklin and Hamilton soon discover a gift that Madison has.

After Alexander Hamilton's bar fight, the tension between the Founding Fathers has grown. John Adams' new girlfriend hasn't called him since that night and he blames Hamilton entirely. George Washington's situation at work is increasingly difficult, but he finds the courage to stand up to Caroline and reclaim his dignity. Jefferson and Franklin come home, only to find that their residence is not secure.
