They want to find a new home for themselves, but unexpectedly meet the Old Water Rat. Rat asks them to help him pull the giant Plug out of the Big Round Drain in the middle of the meadow to save the meadow and its inhabitants.

The others have been pondering what it might be for a while, until Fityirc finally realizes that it is nothing more than a gluttonous bear. It soon becomes clear that Belaba was right. Brumi eats all of Pofánka's food and is forced to graze his new pet on the deserted meadow. The other muffins look worried that Brumi has apparently begun to grow. By the time Pofánka returns from the meadow, the bear will be so large that its owner will not be able to enter the living cavity. Cheers promises the others that he will build a lead for Brum the next day. At dawn, the kuffli are horrified to see that Brumi has stolen his breakfast for breakfast under the guise of the night. Plus it has grown tremendously!

  Winter is in the deserted meadow. Muzzle starts to collect jewels with an empty bag, because the kufli's favorite winter delicacy is worrying about running out of supplies. He takes his sled with him, which makes Joy happy that he doesn't have to jump on foot in the snow. The two muffins will soon find a bush of cherries. There's a weird guy in the bush telling them that on this day, only someone who solves a strange puzzle can take a cherry. Fortunately, Titus easily solves the riddle. The two muffins quickly fill the bag with jewels and head home. Yeah, but in the meantime, the wind was carrying snow in huge piles, and Tofanka and Titus can't decide which of the many white piles is theirs.
