Biography

Steven Joe Brooks is a Composer/Producer/Animator and an award winning Songwriter, specializing in music for film and television. Joe began a music career early on in his native Canada, landing two top ten hits and a Juno Award nomination before relocating to Los Angeles in 1999. Joe then won additional awards and critical acclaim for his songwriting on 90's star Tiffany's comeback record The Color Of Silence, which Billboard Magazine featured in a 2001 cover story, calling it "one of the year's best pop records". Joe also released his own album in 2008 entitled Time Machine, containing tracks featured on a variety of TV shows including the song Strange featured on MTVs smash hit The Hills. After several years of touring the US and Asia, Joe established Mojophonic Music and began placing his song catalog in numerous television programs including My Name Is Earl, Ugly Betty, Brothers & Sisters, Jack & Bobby, The Good Wife, The Hills. Currently, as a composer for XIT Music, Joe scores for film trailers and has had music featured in trailers for Thor, Robin Hood, Star Trek, Batman:The Dark Knight, Wreck It Ralph and Coriolanus to name a few. As a lifelong artist in many styles of media, Joe brings his passion for art, animation and music to VO The Show.
